Halloween Party Food Ideas for Adults in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; Syringe Gelatin Shots, Jack O’ Lantern Dip & More

Many of us are planning a Halloween party to celebrate the festivities. Where there are many ideas you can consider for your party, catering can help free some time to plan the games and other details. Today, we at Married to Food Catering by Chef Marcel & Jeannie would like to share a few ideas for Halloween catering.

Halloween Shots & Other Beverage Ideas

Creepy Crawly Ice Cubes: To create creepy crawly ice cubes, simply add novelty items and party favors to your ice trays. With many scary props such as bugs and worms, eyeballs, fingernails, and other such items, you can create a nice effect. Do be mindful of potential choking hazards, especially if the guests are small kids or seniors.
A Bloody Drink Fountain. Use a decorative blood fountain to serve a chilling beverage. To mimics the vein substance, a delicious fruit punch concoction is perfect. To create an eerie ambience, include a bit of flare by opting for a fog machine.
Syringe Gelatin Shots. Incorporate some alcohol-infused gelatin shots for an adult Halloween bash and offer them served in plastic party syringes.

Scary Halloween Appetizers

Jack-O-Lantern Dip. In a new and decorative way to serve dip, hollow out the pumpkin and fill with your favorite dip. Let the dip ooze from the carved-out eyes, nose, and mouth for a little something extra.
Tiny Brains. To create a bowl of little icky brains, take your favorite Chinese dumpling recipe and toss them in a Chili pepper sauce. A standard Asian dipping sauce but anything mimics gooey blood does the trick for a spookier affect.
Old Scabs. When you roast it up just right and serve it in small pieces, the love most people have for bacon becomes something akin to scabs. To let your guests enjoy an oozing scab or two, serve them in a bowl with a brown sugar glaze.

Halloween Dinner Entrees

Roasted Fingers. To emulate severed fingers that have been cooked up, carve out a nail bed (or use a piece of cheese) and some knuckle lines on raw hot dogs, and grill them up. To really gross out your guests, place them inside the bun and top them with some ketchup.
Rack of Ribs. Put a heaping pile of sausages on the tray to mimic organs, and then position the ribs on top of the pile of meat after placing doll’s head (or skull) at the top of a serving tray.

Desserts for Halloween

Amputated Hands. To create an amputated hand dessert, grab your go-to pastry dough and cherry pie filling. Before topping with filling, carefully form the dough into the shape of a hand and then top with another hand and press the edges together. Use a large knife to butcher them in half and serve on a tray to your guests once cooked.
Cake Head. Create a cake that looks just like a human head with the help of your local bakery. A red velvet cake can really enhance the horror movie aspect.
